For hiring teams
Employee verification that is already done when the candidate walks in
Ask for a PEID instead of a resume. You see a verified identity, every past company with role and dates, and which of those companies have confirmed it themselves.

How it works
Four steps, no phone calls
Verification lives with the employee, not with each employer. You read what is already confirmed.
- 01
Ask for the PEID
Candidates share one ID instead of a resume. It never changes, whichever company they join next.
- 02
Look it up
See name, photo, verified badge, every company with role and dates, projects and skills in one read.
- 03
Check what companies said
Past employers confirm role and dates from an official company email. Personal email addresses are refused.
- 04
Request private details
Salary, address and family contacts open only when the candidate approves, for 90 days, and they can revoke it.
Why it is different
Compared with a one-off background check
- When you see results
- One-off background check: After the agency finishes, often after the offer
- PEID: On the first lookup, before the interview
- Who confirms past jobs
- One-off background check: Whoever answers the phone
- PEID: The company itself, from an official email address
- Candidate consent
- One-off background check: One signature on a form
- PEID: Approved per employer, for 90 days, revocable
- Next employer
- One-off background check: Starts the same check again
- PEID: Reads the same record, with every confirmation so far
- Identity documents
- One-off background check: Copies passed around by email
- PEID: Checked once; only last four digits kept

Questions
Employee verification FAQ
What is employee verification on PEID?
Every employee gets a permanent ID, the PEID. The PEID team confirms their identity with PAN and Aadhaar, and past companies confirm their roles from an official email. Employers look up the PEID and see the verified record.
How is a past company's confirmation collected?
The employee sends a request to an official company address at a past employer. The company fills a short form from a single-use link that works for 21 days. Gmail, Yahoo and similar personal addresses are blocked.
Can a candidate hide a past job?
The candidate owns their record and decides what to add. What they cannot do is mark a job as confirmed: only the past company can do that, so confirmed roles are the ones to trust most.
Does PEID store Aadhaar or PAN numbers?
No full numbers are stored. PEID keeps only the last four digits of Aadhaar, and the last four digits plus a one-way keyed hash of PAN.
Is PEID a background verification agency?
No. PEID is a permanent record the employee owns and keeps up to date. Identity is checked once, company confirmations build up over a career, and every employer reads the same record. If you also need a human check, you can request a screening from your panel.
Look up your next hire by PEID
Create an employer account and look up a candidate's PEID. Shortlist, schedule interviews and request screenings from the same panel.
